Welcome to the MUSIC AT LUNCHTIME website!

MUSIC AT LUNCHTIME is a series of concerts given at Farnham United Reformed Church, South Street, Farnham, Surrey, on Wednesdays, usually the first Wednesday of the month, from October until the Spring. Concerts now start at 1 p.m. and finish round about 1.50 p.m.

There is no charge for admission to lunchtime concerts, but there is a retiring collection.

Wednesday 4th October 2017 at 1 p.m.
Geoff Tuson, organ

Geoff Tuson studied organ and piano at the Royal College of Music. He gives frequent organ recitals in London and throughout the country. Geoff teaches piano and organ at several colleges and accompanies two choral societies. Geoff is organist at the Royal Garrison Church, Aldershot.

Richard Watts, trumpet
Catherine Watts, soprano

Richard Watts is the current trumpet teacher at Frensham Heights school, where his mother Catherine also teaches singing. Richard is a London based session player and teacher, performing with various ensembles, ranging from classical to jazz and soul.

Catherine has sung with the Welsh National Opera and has travelled the world performing with the late, great Donald Swann,

Frensham Heights has a worthy reputation for excellence in the performing arts and we welcome music students under the direction of James Cassleton, Director of Music.

The Ishi Ensemble

Following their successful recital last season, the Ishi Ensmble is returning by popular demand. The Ishi Ensemble is one of the few professional viola quintets in the country.
They give regular concerts at home and abroad.

Vincent Lindsey-Clark, guitar

Vincent Lindsey-Clark is well known for his compositions for the instrument. He writes music for both students and professionals, much of which has been used extensively by the major exam boards and performed all round the world.

The organ was built in 1906 by Henry Jones & Sons, South Kensington, renovated in 1986 by Bishop and Sons and rebuilt in 2005/6 by James Richardson-Jones.
